Jacksonville, FL (March 6, 2025) – A man lost his life, and a woman was critically injured in a serious crash on Interstate 295 Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. as a 25-year-old woman was driving a sedan northbound on I-295 with a 36-year-old male passenger. As the vehicle approached the Interstate 10 exit ramp, the driver failed to maintain her lane while navigating a curve. This caused the car to rotate out of control before crashing into a tree.
Emergency responders transported the passenger to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver sustained critical injuries and was also taken for medical treatment.
