Jackson, NJ (September 5, 2024) – A driver lost his life, and a passenger sustained serious injuries in a collision between an SUV and a dump truck Wednesday afternoon, September 4. The accident occurred at 12:05 p.m. at the intersection of Cassville Rd and Reed Rd. 

According to Chief Matthew Kunz, the SUV driver, a Freehold resident, succumbed to his injuries. The female passenger was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment of serious injuries.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
