Jackson, MO (February 3, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on MO-72, approximately one mile west of Jackson, at around 12:25 p.m.
According to reports, the collision occurred when a 2015 Mazda CX-5, driven by a 71-year-old woman from Cape Girardeau, pulled into the path of a 2022 Cadillac XT5, operated by a 69-year-old woman from Fredericktown. The impact resulted in significant damage to both vehicles, requiring them to be towed from the scene by Cape County Towing.
First responders, including paramedics, assessed and treated the injured individuals at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles, along with a 78-year-old male passenger in the Cadillac, sustained injuries. All three were transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine contributing factors.
