Truck Accidents in Illinois
Crashes involving semi-trucks and passenger vehicles often result in serious injuries due to the size and weight of commercial trucks. Roadways like US-45/52 see frequent trucking traffic, increasing the risk of accidents caused by factors such as driver fatigue, improper lane changes, or failure to yield.
According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, semi-truck accidents account for a significant portion of highway crashes, often leading to major road closures and extended recovery times for victims. When a passenger vehicle collides with a truck, the occupants of the smaller vehicle are at a much higher risk of severe or fatal injuries.
Victims of truck accidents often face significant medical expenses, lost wages, and long-term physical recovery. Seeking medical attention and understanding legal rights are essential for those involved in such crashes.
