Iron County, UT (September 11, 2024) – Two drivers were injured Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision on SR-14 near Cedar Canyon. The crash occurred just before 1 p.m., involving a black GMC Yukon and a white Nissan van.
Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden reported that rain and hail contributed to dangerous road conditions. The westbound Yukon, driven by a man in his mid-30s, lost control and slid into the eastbound lane, colliding with the Nissan.
The Nissan’s driver, a man in his 40s, was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The Yukon’s driver was also taken to the hospital with less severe injuries. While a passenger sustained only injuries.
Authorities are investigating the crash, and further updates will follow.
