Ionia, MI (February 8, 2025) – A tragic accident occurred on M-66 near Grand River Avenue on Wednesday, leaving one woman dead and three others injured. Emergency responders, including paramedics, were quick to the scene, providing care to the injured victims. Authorities reported that a 27-year-old man from Portland was traveling southbound on M-66 when he crossed into the northbound lane, striking another vehicle head-on.
The victim, identified as a 31-year-old woman from Saranac, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 2-year-old girl and a man, both passengers in the victim’s car, sustained serious injuries. The driver who caused the crash was also hospitalized.
