According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), the motorcyclist, identified as 54-year-old Tracy Allen Godfrey, was critically injured and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car remained at the scene, cooperated with investigators, and was uninjured. Preliminary findings indicate that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Emerson Ave when the driver of the car, heading southbound, attempted to turn left onto eastbound Heathwood Dr. The vehicles collided during the turn. The intersection was closed for an extended period as IMPD and accident reconstruction teams investigated the incident.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Tracy Allen Godfrey during this difficult time.
