Immokalee, FL (December 07, 2024) – A pedestrian tragically lost their life after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on New Market Rd W near Escambia St in Immokalee. Emergency responders, including Immokalee Fire and Collier County EMS, arrived at the scene at approximately 9:12 PM on Friday night. Despite their efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle involved in the incident fled the scene, and authorities are currently working to locate the suspect. New Market Rd W has been blocked off in the area while the Florida Highway Patrol investigates the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
