Both individuals were transported to Hutchinson Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. The driver of the semi-truck, Jay Robert Thompson, 54, of New Richmond, WI, did not sustain any injuries.
The crash occurred on dry road conditions, and officials reported that all individuals involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident, according to authorities.
