Huntsville, AL (October 24, 2024) – A serious pedestrian accident occurred Wednesday evening when a man was struck by a vehicle on Moores Mill Road. The incident took place around 6:24 p.m. at the location of 7312 Moores Mill Road, according to officials with HEMSI.
The pedestrian was transported to Huntsville Hospital in serious but stable condition. HEMSI Spokesperson Don Webster confirmed that emergency responders acted quickly to provide medical assistance at the scene.
In response to the accident, the Moores Mill Volunteer Fire Department has advised residents to avoid the area of Moores Mill Road near Briar Fork Drive and Plaza Drive, as the road will be closed for an undetermined amount of time to facilitate the investigation and ensure public safety. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) also responded to the scene to assist with the situation.
