Huntsville, AL (December 5, 2024) – A Huntsville woman tragically lost her life in a head-on collision with a box truck on Monday evening. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), 33-year-old Brenda A. Rivera was killed after her car collided with the box truck on Old Railroad Bed Rd near Northwest Rock Creek Blvd around 6:29 p.m. Emergency responders from Huntsville Fire and Rescue quickly arrived at the scene. Rivera was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment but passed away while being transported. The driver of the box truck, 53-year-old Dionne E. Bishop, also sustained injuries and was taken to Huntsville Hospital for care.
