Houston, TX (January 4, 2025) – A tragic car-pedestrian crash occurred Friday evening in the 14700 block of Hempstead Rd, resulting in a fatality. The Houston Police Department remains on the scene, investigating the incident.
According to officials, a man was in the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle. The initial driver stopped and attempted to render aid. However, while the pedestrian was in the roadway, a second vehicle, identified as a white truck, struck the man and fled the scene without stopping. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities are actively searching for the driver of the white truck involved in the hit-and-run and urge anyone with information to contact the Houston Police Department.
