Houston, TX (September 16, 2024) – An off-duty Harris County sheriff’s deputy and two others were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle accident on the Hardy Toll Rd on Sunday. Around 11:20 a.m., multiple motorcyclists were reportedly racing and swerving, causing traffic to slow.

A Ford Fiesta rear-ended a Nissan Sentra, which led to a chain reaction involving several vehicles. The deputy swerved to avoid the collision but was struck by a motorcycle. The deputy and two other men were hospitalized with serious injuries. The incident remains under investigation, and charges are pending.
