Holmes City Township, MN (December 17, 2024) – An injury accident occurred late Tuesday evening at approximately 9:25 p.m. on Highway 27 near Mile Marker 71 in Douglas County. Emergency responders, including the Alexandria Fire Department and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, arrived promptly to assist those involved in the two-vehicle collision.
Preliminary reports indicate that the crash occurred when a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country, turning left onto Highway 27 from County Road 4, collided with an eastbound 1998 Chrysler Sebring. Wet road conditions are believed to have contributed to the incident.

Fortunately, the driver of the Chrysler Town & Country, 31-year-old Natalie Kay Galstad, and her passengers, including three children, were unharmed and did not require medical attention. Both vehicles’ airbags deployed during the collision.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available. Our thoughts are with those affected, and we hope for a full recovery for the injured.
