Highland County, OH – James Hart Killed After Pickup Truck Crash on Sorg Rd

Highland County, OH (September 15, 2024) – James W. Hart, 66, of Hillsboro, tragically lost his life after his pickup truck crashed early Saturday, September 14. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Hart’s 1967 Dodge pickup veered off Sorg Rd, colliding with a grain bin around 12:30 a.m.

Hart, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. After hitting the grain bin, the truck continued and struck a nearby barn before stopping. Hart was pronounced dead at the scene by the Highland County Coroner’s Office.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing
