According to authorities, a 2007 Ford Edge, driven by 43-year-old Russel David Jones of Chisholm, MN, was traveling northbound on Highway 169 when it struck a pedestrian walking eastbound. The pedestrian, identified as Dennis Kage Anderson of Biscay, MN, suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased and transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner for further examination.
The driver of the Ford Edge, Russel Jones, was uninjured in the collision. Investigators have confirmed that no alcohol was involved, and the airbags in the vehicle did not deploy during the incident.
