Hernando, MS – Claude and Denese Gleeton Killed in Crash on I-22

Hernando, MS (September 12, 2024) – Two Holly Springs residents died in a crash on Interstate 22 in DeSoto County on Wednesday, September 11. The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) reported the crash occurred shortly before 2:18 p.m.

Claude Gleeton, 71, was driving the car, which collided with a semi-truck before hitting an SUV. Both Claude and his passenger, 71-year-old Denese Gleeton, tragically died at the scene.

The other drivers involved in the crash were not injured, according to MHP. The investigation into the exact cause of the crash is ongoing. Authorities are reviewing the incident for further details.
