Hernando County, FL (December 18, 2024) – Two individuals sustained serious injuries late Tuesday evening following a crash on Citrus Way between Peach Orchard and Fort Dade Avenue. Hernando County Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene at approximately 11:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered multiple entrapments in the vehicles involved. Fire crews worked to extricate the victims, requesting two medical helicopters to expedite their transport. Both victims were airlifted to a local trauma center for treatment at around 11:48 p.m.
