Hernando County, FL (January 7, 2025) – A tragic motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 41 at the intersection of County Rd 572 claimed the life of a 40-year-old Spring Hill man on Monday night. The accident occurred at approximately 7:03 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling south on U.S. Highway 41 when a 39-year-old man from Weeki Wachee, driving a car northbound, turned into the motorcyclist’s path at the intersection. The two vehicles collided, resulting in a devastating impact.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. The driver of the car sustained only minor injuries, according to troopers. The crash remains under investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal collision.
