Henrico, VA (September 9, 2024) – A tragic pedestrian accident claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy on Staples Mill Rd near Hungary Spring Rd on Sunday evening, September 8. Henrico Police responded to the scene around 8:06 p.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle striking the juvenile. Upon arrival, officers found the boy with severe injuries, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The initial investigation indicates the teen was crossing Staples Mill Rd mid-block when a Nissan, traveling west, struck him. The driver of the Nissan stayed on-site and cooperated fully with the authorities during their investigation. No signs of alcohol involvement have been found.
