Henrico, VA (November 6, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Halloween night involving a 73-year-old man riding a 3-wheeled moped. The incident took place at the intersection of Dill Road and Vawter Avenue around 9:30 p.m. when a sedan struck the rear end of the moped.
According to Lt. David Turner with Henrico Police, both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Dill Road at the time of the collision. Fortunately, speed does not appear to have been a factor in this crash. The driver of the moped, identified as Walter Allen Miller of Henrico, was initially taken to a local hospital for what were considered non-life-threatening injuries. However, it was reported that he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, November 3.
