Henrico County, VA (January 27, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle collision on Saturday evening claimed the life of a 21-year-old man. Authorities have identified the victim as Justin Lee Butler Jr. of Henrico County.
The crash occurred around 5:41 p.m. at the intersection of Williamsburg Road (Route 60) and Whiteside Road. According to Henrico Police, a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling south on Whiteside Road entered the intersection and collided with the front side of Butler’s Nissan Altima, which was traveling westbound on Williamsburg Road.
Emergency responders arrived to find both vehicles heavily damaged. Butler was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The two occupants of the Chevrolet Tahoe were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours as the Henrico County Crash Team conducted an investigation. The cause of the crash remains under review, and officials are urging anyone with information to contact Crash Team Investigator Jones.
