Hazleton, PA (September 30, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred in Hazleton when a woman succumbed to injuries sustained in a house fire two weeks prior. Lisa Thompson, 59, of Hazleton, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.
According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio, Thompson’s death was attributed to inhalation of products of combustion resulting from the fire. She had been transported to the hospital on September 15, 2024, following the incident, which took place in the 600 block of Peace Street in Hazleton, Luzerne County.
