Hartford, CT (November 10, 2024) – A woman in her forties remains in critical condition after being struck in a hit-and-run accident on Friday evening. The collision occurred at approximately 7:33 p.m. at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Bond Street.
Police responded to reports of a motor vehicle striking a pedestrian and discovered the woman unconscious in the roadway near the east curb of Franklin Avenue. She sustained serious head injuries and was bleeding from the head. Emergency medical personnel from Aetna Ambulance transported her to Hartford Hospital, where she is listed in critical but stable condition.
The driver of the involved vehicle, believed to be a gray SUV, fled the scene before police arrived. Later that evening, officers located the abandoned SUV on Elliot Place, a short distance from the crash site.
