Harris County, TX (November 20, 2024) – A tragic hit-and-run crash claimed the life of a man and left a woman seriously injured early Wednesday morning near the Georgetown Colony neighborhood. The incident occurred just before 2:00 a.m. on Addicks Satsuma Rd, north of Langham Creek, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).
Deputies reported that the man and woman were walking along the road when they were struck by an SUV. The driver fled the scene without stopping to provide aid. The male victim was later found in a nearby ditch and pronounced dead, while the woman was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
Through the use of a camera system, investigators with the HCSO Vehicular Crimes Division were able to identify a suspect vehicle, a Kia Sorento, and its license plate. Deputies located the vehicle and arrested 39-year-old Yusdenis Llano, who now faces charges of failure to stop and render aid involving death. Officials confirmed that Llano did not appear to be intoxicated at the time of his arrest.
The investigation is ongoing. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time, and we hope for the woman’s recovery.
