Hanover, VA (January 26, 2025) – A devastating fire broke out at a single-family home on the 6400 block of Gaines Mill Rd on January 25. Engine 407 was first on the scene, reporting smoke and flames showing on the C-side of the residence. Fire crews immediately stretched lines and initiated an aggressive fire attack.
Tragically, one occupant was found in cardiac arrest due to the fire. Emergency responders provided life-saving measures while an additional ambulance was dispatched to the scene to assist. Despite the swift efforts of fire crews and medics, the situation remains critical. The fire was eventually brought under control, and investigators are now working to determine its cause.
