Pedestrian Safety in South Carolina
South Carolina reports a high number of pedestrian-related fatalities each year, with many incidents occurring on busy roads like West Blue Ridge Dr. Walking outside crosswalks and in poorly lit areas increases the risk of accidents, especially during nighttime hours when visibility is reduced.
Drivers are urged to remain vigilant and reduce speeds in areas with pedestrian activity, while pedestrians should use designated crosswalks and ensure they are visible to drivers, particularly at night.
For families affected by fatal pedestrian accidents, seeking support and guidance can help address liability and provide justice for loved ones.
