Greenville, SC (September 9, 2024) – A pedestrian, John Patrick Johnson, 65, was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident over the weekend. The Greenville County Coroner confirmed that the tragedy occurred early Sunday morning near the crosswalk at White Horse Rd and State Frontage Rd 1-18. Johnson was crossing near a McDonald’s when hit.

Authorities are currently seeking the unidentified vehicle involved. The search for the hit-and-run driver continues as investigators work to piece together the circumstances surrounding Johnson’s death.
