Pedestrian Accidents in Michigan
Pedestrian accidents are a significant concern in Michigan, where many individuals are injured or killed each year due to collisions with vehicles. According to state statistics, pedestrian fatalities account for a notable percentage of all traffic-related deaths. Factors contributing to these accidents often include driver negligence, distracted driving, and failure to yield at crosswalks.
In Michigan, pedestrians have the right of way in marked crosswalks, and drivers are legally obligated to stop for them. However, accidents can still occur, particularly in areas with high traffic volumes or limited visibility.
