Head-On Collisions in Pennsylvania
Head-on collisions are some of the most severe types of motor vehicle accidents, often leading to critical injuries or fatalities due to the force of impact. These types of crashes frequently occur due to distracted driving, impaired driving, speeding, or failure to stay in designated lanes.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), head-on crashes make up a small percentage of total collisions but account for a disproportionate number of severe injuries and fatalities. Intersections and undivided roadways, such as Route 11, are particularly prone to these dangerous incidents.
Victims of head-on collisions may face significant medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and lost income due to their injuries. Understanding legal options and seeking compensation can help ease the financial burden on those affected.
