Head-On Collisions in Missouri
Head-on collisions are among the most dangerous types of accidents, often resulting in severe injuries or fatalities due to the force of impact. These crashes typically occur on two-lane roads, especially when drivers attempt left turns without ensuring the path is clear, as seen in this incident on Farm Road 163.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), improper left turns and failure to yield are significant contributors to head-on collisions statewide. Rural roads, like Farm Road 163, are particularly prone to such incidents due to narrower lanes and less visibility.
Victims of head-on collisions may face a range of physical, emotional, and financial challenges. Seeking appropriate medical care and understanding legal options for compensation can help individuals and families recover and rebuild.
