Grangeville, ID (January 8, 2025) – A Montana air rescue crew saved a snowmobile rider on Tuesday following a crash near Rudd Moore Lake, as reported by the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred in a remote area east of US12 near the Idaho-Montana border.
At approximately 11:12 a.m., Idaho County Dispatch received a text to 911 reporting the snowmobile accident. Due to challenging weather conditions, dispatch contacted Two Bear Air in Flathead County, Montana, for assistance, and Ravalli County Search and Rescue was placed on standby for a potential ground rescue.
By 2:18 p.m., Two Bear Air successfully located and rescued the injured rider, transporting them to Missoula for medical treatment. Authorities have not released the identity of the snowmobile rider or the extent of their injuries.
