Golden, CO (February 20, 2025) – A four-car collision shut down Colorado 93 in both directions Thursday morning, leaving two people injured and causing significant traffic disruptions west of Denver.
According to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), the crash occurred at approximately 6:12 a.m. on the northbound lanes of CO-93 near mile marker 2, south of West 56th Avenue. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported two injured individuals to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) reported that Colorado 93 remains closed in both directions between Spyderco Way in Golden and 64th Avenue Parkway near Arvada as crews continue the investigation and debris cleanup.
Traffic cameras from the area around 9:30 a.m. showed multiple vehicles resting on both shoulders of the two-lane highway, with debris scattered across the road. The highway is expected to remain closed for several hours.
