Georgetown County, SC (March 8, 2025) – One person was killed, and three others were injured following a crash in the South Strand on Thursday afternoon, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:48 p.m. on Exodus Dr near Sheba Dr, about 14 miles north of Georgetown. Authorities reported that a Honda Accord carrying four occupants was traveling northbound on Exodus Dr when it veered off the road, struck a ditch, and overturned.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance. The driver was transported to a local hospital by EMS, while two passengers sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to a medical facility for further treatment. Sadly, a third passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
