Fultondale, AL (March 4, 2025) – A Gardendale man lost his life in a crash involving a UPS delivery truck on Decatur Highway Saturday morning.
According to local authorities, the fatal accident occurred shortly before 9 a.m. in the 600 block of Decatur Highway. The motorcyclist, identified as 31-year-old Frederick Alexander DeLeon, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials confirmed that DeLeon was the only rider on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.
The Fultondale Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision. Details on the cause of the accident, including whether speed, road conditions, or other factors played a role, have not yet been released.
