Freeborn County, MN (September 28, 2024) – A traffic accident occurred today at approximately 11:47 AM at the intersection of US Highway 69 and West 9th Street, resulting in injuries. The incident involved a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2005 Peterbilt semi-truck.

The driver of the Peterbilt truck, 56-year-old Darin Dean Toot, also from Albert Lea, was not injured in the crash and was not transported to a healthcare facility. He was wearing a seat belt as well, and there was no indication of alcohol involvement in his case.
