Franklin Twp, PA (January 22, 2025) – A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles occurred Wednesday evening on New Castle Rd at Whipporwill Rd in Franklin Township. Emergency crews from Stations 13 and 99 were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:18 p.m.
Upon arrival, responders found two vehicles with heavy damage, one of which had struck a guardrail. All occupants were reportedly out of their vehicles by the time emergency crews arrived. Two individuals sustained injuries in the crash: one person was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital (BMH) with facial and back injuries, while another, experiencing chest pain, declined transport.
Crews from Engine 13 and 99-5 worked to secure the area, with EN-13 positioned as a blocker on the east side of the crash site to ensure safety. Emergency medical personnel provided care at the scene before clearing the incident by 6:19 p.m.
