Franklin Twp, PA (March 4, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on North Rd in Franklin Township, approximately half a mile north of the Rt 422 intersection in Mt Chestnut.
The crash, which occurred around 7:46 p.m. on Monday, involved two vehicles on the roadway with reports of entrapment. Emergency responders, including Stations 13, 24, 14, and 99, were dispatched to assist at the scene.
At 7:51 p.m., a second caller reported that a male victim was stuck inside a vehicle with a head injury. Within minutes, first responders arrived, gaining access to the trapped individual. Paramedics and fire crews worked to assist those suffering from injuries while additional units secured the area and directed traffic away from the crash site.
Authorities reported that one of the vehicle operators fled the scene on foot. Pennsylvania State Police were advised of the situation as they continued their investigation.
The roadway was temporarily shut down while emergency crews worked the scene. By 8:48 p.m., the incident was cleared, and all emergency units returned to service.
