Franklin Township, OH (November 18, 2024) – A devastating crash on State Route 95 early Sunday morning left one person dead and three others injured, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP). The accident occurred just before 4 a.m. in Morrow County’s Franklin Township.
Authorities reported that a westbound Nissan Altima veered left of center and collided head-on with an eastbound Honda Civic. The Nissan was carrying three occupants, while the Honda had only the driver inside at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and was transported to Marion General Hospital. Tragically, one of the passengers, 27-year-old Sandeep Yadav, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Another passenger in the Nissan sustained serious injuries and was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Honda also suffered minor injuries and was taken to Morrow County Hospital. According to OSHP, alcohol is suspected to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
The collision remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the full circumstances of the incident. Traffic on Route 95 was temporarily disrupted as emergency crews cleared the scene and assisted the victims.
