Franklin, MO (December 8, 2024) – Emergency crews responded to a serious multi-vehicle accident on Saturday evening involving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado HD, a 2007 Ford F150, and a 2011 Toyota RAV4. The crash occurred at approximately 6:42 PM on southbound Westridge Rd near Hogan Rd.
The Chevrolet Silverado, operated by a 22-year-old male from Alton, IL, reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign, leading to a chain of events that resulted in the vehicle going airborne off a rock bluff and eventually colliding with other vehicles. Emergency responders from Franklin County treated multiple victims, and two individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for further care. The 22-year-old driver of the Silverado sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis by Meramec Ambulance. A 65-year-old female passenger in the Toyota RAV4 was also transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington for evaluation and treatment.
The accident involved significant damage to the Chevrolet Silverado and Toyota RAV4, both of which were towed from the scene. The Ford F150, sustaining minor damage, was able to be driven away.
