Franklin County, MO (February 16, 2025) – A fatal crash on Route Y near Dissen Rd early Saturday morning resulted in one fatality and another serious injury.
According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. when a 2006 Ford F-350, traveling eastbound, veered off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle proceeded through a ditch and field before crashing into a creek and striking the opposite bank.
Emergency responders from New Haven Ambulance and local authorities arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance. The 22-year-old male driver, a resident of Washington, MO, was pronounced deceased at 1:59 a.m. by New Haven Ambulance personnel. A 21-year-old male occupant from Leslie, MO, suffered serious injuries and was transported by New Haven Ambulance to Mercy Washington for further treatment.
Officials confirmed that neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. The vehicle sustained total damage and was later removed from the scene by Sturm’s Towing.
