Intersection Accidents in Missouri
Intersections are among the most dangerous areas for drivers, often leading to serious crashes when right-of-way rules are not followed. Failure-to-yield accidents, like the one at MO-100 and MO-OO, are a common cause of collisions, particularly among elderly drivers who may experience slower reaction times or reduced visibility.
Missouri law requires all drivers to yield when necessary to prevent accidents at intersections. However, right-of-way violations continue to be a leading cause of roadway injuries and fatalities. Defensive driving, cautious decision-making, and maintaining awareness of other vehicles can help reduce these types of incidents.
This crash serves as an important reminder for all drivers—especially older motorists—to approach intersections carefully, ensuring they have a clear and safe path before proceeding.
If you or a loved one has been injured in an accident caused by another driver’s failure to yield, understanding your rights is essential. Seeking medical attention, documenting the crash, and speaking with professionals can provide guidance on your next steps.
