Franklin County, MO (December 9, 2024) – A collision occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Missouri 100 at West Osage Street in Franklin County. The crash involved a 2021 Toyota Tacoma and a 2020 Dodge Durango, both of which sustained moderate damage.
According to reports, the driver of the Toyota Tacoma, a 58-year-old male from Pacific, MO, was in the left turn lane of eastbound Missouri 100 when he failed to yield to the westbound Dodge Durango, driven by a 26-year-old male from Union, MO. The front left side of the Toyota struck the front left side of the Dodge, causing both vehicles to skid to a controlled stop in the middle of the roadway.
The driver of the Dodge Durango was transported with injuries by Meramec EMS to Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Hoffman’s Towing and John’s Towing. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the collision. Thankfully, the drivers of both vehicles were wearing their seatbelts, which likely minimized the impact of the crash.
