Foster, RI (December 27, 2024) – A tragic head-on collision on Hartford Pike on Christmas Eve claimed the lives of two individuals and left another injured. Police responded to the crash at approximately 3:10 PM on Tuesday, finding two vehicles with significant front-end damage in the eastbound lane and three individuals with serious injuries.
Investigators determined that one vehicle was traveling westbound when it crossed into the eastbound lane while attempting to pass several other cars, colliding head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
Aaron McCrory, of Danielson, Connecticut, the driver of the first vehicle, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Sandi Brooks, a passenger in the second vehicle from Vernon, Connecticut, was also taken to Rhode Island Hospital and succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the second vehicle sustained injuries and is reported to be in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital.
