Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:10 PM.
Reports indicate that the pedestrian was run over by the pickup truck, leading to severe injuries. Emergency responders from San Carlos Park Fire and Lee County EMS arrived promptly to provide medical assistance. Unfortunately, the victim was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center in cardiac arrest, highlighting the severity of the injuries sustained.
As of early Sunday morning, family members confirmed that the woman, who had been critically injured in the incident, has passed away. She was pronounced dead at Gulf Coast Medical Center.
