Fort Myers, FL (February 26, 2025) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries Tuesday night after crashing along Alico Rd, just south of Granada Lakes Dr. The accident occurred at approximately 8:12 p.m., prompting an emergency response from San Carlos Park Fire and Lehigh Acres Fire crews.
According to fire and EMS radio communications, the crash involved a 45-year-old man traveling northbound on Alico Rd. Reports indicate that he collided with the curbed median, which caused him to be ejected approximately 150 feet from his motorcycle. The motorcycle came to rest in the inside southbound lane, near the railroad crossing.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the man met “Trauma Alert” criteria and was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center for emergency medical care. Authorities confirmed that one southbound lane of Alico Rd remained blocked following the incident. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the crash.
