Florissant, MO (December 30, 2024) – A severe two-vehicle crash occurred early Monday morning at the intersection of West Florissant Avenue and I-270 eastbound, leaving two drivers seriously injured. The collision was reported at approximately 12:27 AM and involved a 2021 Nissan Sentra and a 2023 Nissan Rogue.
Emergency responders, including Christian Hospital Ambulance crews, arrived promptly at the scene. According to reports, the 2021 Nissan Sentra, driven by a 22-year-old female from Florissant, MO, was stopped in the roadway following a previous crash when it was struck by the 2023 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 36-year-old female, also from Florissant.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene, with the Sentra removed by Terry’s Towing and the Rogue by A1 Towing. Neither driver was reported to be wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
The drivers of both vehicles sustained serious injuries. They were transported by ambulance to Barnes-Jewish Hospital for medical treatment. The crash is under investigation by Trooper L.T. Carson, with assistance from Corporal J.D. Procknow and Trooper B.W. Katzing.
