Florence County, SC (February 11, 2025) – Emergency responders were quick to the scene following a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred Monday evening in Florence County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the incident took place at approximately 6:15 PM near the intersection of West John Paul Jones Rd and Cummings Rd.
According to Cpl. Nick Pye, a 2011 Kia SUV was traveling south on West John Paul Jones Rd when it collided with a 2023 Chevrolet SUV heading north on the same road. The drivers of both the Kia and Chevrolet SUVs died as a result of the crash. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
The Florence County Coroner’s Office has not yet publicly identified the victims. Authorities are actively investigating the cause of the collision to determine any contributing factors.
