Flagler County, FL (November 3, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred early Saturday morning when an 81-year-old man from Palm Coast was struck and killed by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the accident took place around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Royal Palms Parkway and US-1.
According to the crash report, a 20-year-old man from Daytona Beach was driving northbound on US-1 in a sedan as he approached the intersection with Royal Palms Parkway. At that moment, the elderly pedestrian began to walk east across the highway. Unfortunately, the vehicle entered the intersection and collided with the pedestrian, resulting in fatal injuries.
