Featherstone Township, MN (December 14, 2024) – A vehicle collision with injuries occurred Thursday night at the intersection of Highway 58 and 325th Street in Featherstone Township, Goodhue County. The crash involved a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2020 Freightliner semi.
According to authorities, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by 29-year-old Lauren Elizabeth Westerberg of Lafayette, IN, was making a left turn from northbound Highway 58 onto 325th Street when it collided with the northbound Freightliner semi, driven by 62-year-old Darryl Andre Nelson of New Hope, MN.
Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Westerberg was transported to Red Wing Hospital for treatment, and Nelson was also taken to the same facility. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision, and there were no indications of alcohol involvement.
The road conditions were dry at the time of the crash. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision, and Red Wing Ambulance responded to the scene to assist the injured.
